Esme Loves Six Flags

I love going to Six Flags for the swimming. Esme loves the whole experience. There is one ride she can even go on all by herself now - a big apple with a caterpillar that goes around it. We went for a few hours today and as soon as we got in the car Esme said, "Again!"

Happy Anniversary to Us

Six years ago I married the world's most amazing man, and I have grown to love him more every day since then! I am so lucky to be married to Ethan. He's the only person I could imagine sharing my life with, the only person I'd want to raise a child with, and the most fascinating person I know.

Ethan is on vacation this week and we're loving it! We have taken Esme to a new playground, to the Children's Museum, and today we're taking her to Six Flags. Her favorite parts are The Apple and Up Down. Lisa's family is going today also so hopefully we'll run into them!

Esme is talking up a storm these days. When we ask what she wants to eat she always says applesauce, pizza, quesadillas, or tortellini. She'll also throw in ice cream but that's a long shot when it comes to dinner. She also gets very excited about playing computer games. She either wants to Play Elmo or Play E. Starfall is helping her to learn and recognize her letters.

Esme loves her Daddy - she got to spend all day Tuesday with him one on one because I was sick.

Esme has gotten very good at shaking her head no and nodding her head yes. The last couple days she's taken opportunties to yell, "No! No! No! No!" We're in for it!

The Gates in Central Park

We left this morning for NYC and saw the Gates in Central Park. They were amazing! Esme, Ethan, and I all enjoyed our day thoroughly and they were totally worth the trip. Please see my photos below - I took many many more that I'll be scrapbooking soon!

quiet time at home

Since I am on "vacation" this week, Esme and I have been spending a nice quiet couple of days at home. She's been trying out all her new toys and I've been taking pictures of her and watching movies. Since it is still quite snowy here it's been nice to be able to stay inside where it is warm and dry.

We had a wonderful and very busy day! Ethan, Esme, and I spent a nice morning together. Later James, Sarah, Jera, Charles, Dylan, my mom, and Donna came over to have dinner with us. It was great to see everyone and Jera and Esme played especially well today in Esme's playroom. Ethan has tomorrow off and we plan to spend a quiet, relaxing day together before he has to go back to work on Monday.

Another one of Esme's favorite gifts was her doll stroller! 

Esme loves to draw so we got her the DoodlePro. She started using it right away!

Tis the Season

Tis the Season

We have begun the holiday rush! Yesterday we went to CT to visit our friends for Christmas. We went to Edwina and Wolfgang's house for a nice, relaxing afternoon. It is always a pleasure to see them! Later we went to our annual Christmas party with Lisa's family. We really look forward to this party and of course we had a great time. This was the first year that Dylan and Roxanne joined us!

A Very Busy Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! During the day we received phone calls and photos from my mom and Charles who were enjoying themselves at the Macy's parade and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in New York. My brother James also called to wish me a happy Thanksgiving. I made dinner and we had Donna and Edwina & Wolfgang over to share it with us. I am very thankful to have such wonderful people in my life!

Friday morning I woke up just after 5 to hit all the Black Friday sales. I got some great deals! Friday evening I went to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Bushnell with my friend Lance. I hadn't seen Lance in a very long time so that was nice, and the show was just spectacular! Ethan had Kyle over to work on some music they've been collaborating on recently.

Saturday we took Esme and met Lisa and her family at Santa's Land in Vermont. We all had a wonderful time. Esme's favorite parts were the rides and the huge slide! My favorite part was watching Ethan and Esme together. I am so thankful for what a great dad she has!

By Sunday we were all exhausted and slept most of the day away!
